We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team and play a critical role in managing and delivering complex electrical projects.
Qualifications
Detail-Oriented and Organized
You excel in managing all facets of a project, from material procurement and change orders to coordinating subcontractors, tracking budgets, handling billing, and overseeing closeout processes. You thrive in planning and executing the project start-up phase while meeting deadlines with precision.
Field Expertise
Your hands-on experience as a field Foreman equips you to lead small- to medium-sized projects confidently. Safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are your guiding principles.
Leadership Skills
As a seasoned Project Manager, you are adept at directing, mentoring, and supporting field personnel. You take ownership of your projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards and deadlines—even under pressure.
Conflict Resolution
You bring the wisdom and composure to resolve conflicts effectively with customers, vendors, or team members. Your goal is to ensure everyone moves forward cohesively.
Adherence to Industry Standards
You strictly follow safety guidelines, NEC codes, OSHA regulations, plans, and specs. You are confident in reading and interpreting these guidelines to maintain the highest safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Material Procurement
- Procure large-ticket and day-to-day items, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
- Manage lead-time items, verify acknowledgments, and track shipping.
- Oversee material orders for field use and confirm product specifications.
Project Start-Up
- Conduct thorough handoff meetings from estimators and review contracts.
- Understand the project scope, identify opportunities, and resolve potential issues.
- Ensure permits, job accounts, and all startup requirements are in place.
Submittals and RFIs
- Create and manage submittal logs from project start to completion.
- Review submittals and RFIs for accuracy and ensure timely resolution.
Billing and SOVs
- Prepare Schedule of Values (SOVs) for all projects and manage monthly billing processes.
- Track expenses and ensure all billing is completed accurately and on time.
Document Management
- Monitor project schedules and material procurement to avoid delays.
- Address any discrepancies or challenges promptly with general contractors (GCs).
Change Orders
- Track, document, and price all change orders accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a log of change orders to ensure proper billing and approval.
Subcontractor Management
- Procure and manage subcontractor agreements, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Review monthly pay applications and ensure work aligns with project billing.
Budget Management
- Develop and monitor project budgets, identifying both issues and opportunities.
- Keep leadership informed of budget statuses and adjustments.
Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and field teams.
- Manage communication of project updates, drawings, and RFIs to all stakeholders.
- Coordinate inspections, meetings, and collaboration with all project participants.
Closeout Process
- Deliver all O&M manuals, as-built drawings, and warranty documentation.
- Ensure all punch list items are completed and projects are billed 100%.
Customer Experience
- Build and maintain relationships with GCs, design teams, vendors, and field staff.
- Actively engage with clients to foster long-term partnerships.
